In a recent revelation on the Paper Route podcast, former NFL player Brandon Marshall stirred up controversy by suggesting that Kanye West was asked to leave Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas due to a seating altercation involving Taylor Swift.
According to Marshall, the incident unfolded when West purchased a ticket for a seat directly in front of what he believed to be Katy Perry’s booth. However, his presence seemingly irked Swift, not Perry.
“Kanye West pulls up to Vegas. Kanye West buys a ticket to right in front of Katy Perry’s booth, so any time they were going to be showing Katy Perry, Kanye’s face was going to be there,” Marshall recounted.
Realizing his error, Marshall clarified that it was Swift, not Perry, who took offense. Swift and West have a long history of public tension, stemming from the infamous interruption at the 2009 MTV VMAs.
“He’s got a mask on with his logo on the mask — typical Kanye,” Marshall added. “Taylor Swift gets pissed off, she boom boom makes a call or two. Everybody’s involved. He gets kicked out the stadium!”
Despite Marshall’s claims, there is evidence of West’s presence inside Allegiant Stadium throughout the game. At one point, he was even seen socializing with Ty Dolla $ign and Anderson.
Paak in a luxury suite. Additionally, the footage shows West with Silk Sonic, indicating that if he was asked to leave, it likely occurred late in the game.
While the exact details of the altercation remain unclear, Marshall’s account suggests a clash of egos between two prominent figures in the entertainment industry. Whether this incident will further fuel the ongoing feud between West and Swift remains to be seen.
