WWE legend John Cena is opening up about his battle with skin cancer, revealing he’s had two cancerous spots removed… one from his chest and another from his shoulder. Now, as he chases a historic 17th world championship, he’s also fighting for skin safety.
In a recent People interview, Cena admitted he never wore sunscreen growing up and ignored the risks well into adulthood. That changed after a dermatologist found a cancerous spot on his pec. “That phone call’s not what you want to get,” he said. A year later, another was found on his shoulder.
Fans may notice the scars on TV, but Cena hopes his story helps others take skin protection seriously. “If you brush your teeth daily, you should apply sunscreen, too,” he advised. As he nears retirement, Cena is using his platform to champion a new cause… staying safe in the sun.
