In a recent development, Jeezy’s ex-fiancée and nanny have come forward to support the Atlanta rapper amidst abuse allegations made by his estranged wife, Jeannie Mai.
Court documents filed on June 7, reveal that Mahlet Gebremedhin, the mother of Jeezy’s older daughter, Amra, has provided a strong character witness for the rapper, whose real name is Jay Jenkins.
Gebremedhin portrays Jeezy as a dedicated and loving father, completely refuting any claims of abuse towards her or their child.
“I’ve seen Jay be a committed, caring, and involved father to our daughter and his eldest child, son Jadarius,” Gebremedhin stated. “Jay’s oldest child lived with us for almost four years, and I witnessed their relationship flourish daily. Jay was never physically, mentally, or emotionally abusive to his children or me.”
Supporting affidavits also came from Jeezy’s nanny, Minhee Hoffler, a friend named Robyn Wallace, and Shelley Nichols, whose husband is a close friend and real estate broker for Jeezy.
“As a caretaker, I believe Mr. Jenkins provides his daughters with the necessary support as they grow into young women,” Hoffler wrote. “Mr. Jenkins is an exceptionally hardworking individual, but an even more devoted father.”
These testimonies aim to counter the abuse claims made by Jeannie Mai, painting a picture of Jeezy as a responsible and loving parent deeply committed to his children’s well-being.
