The highly anticipated Roc Nation Brunch, an annual tradition during Grammy weekend hosted by Jay-Z, will not be taking place this year, stirring curiosity about the label’s plans.
A close source to the influential Hip Hop mogul confirmed the cancellation to Page Six on Friday (February 2). The Roc Nation Brunch commenced in 2011 and took a hiatus in 2021 and 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It made a comeback in 2023.
The reason behind the cancellation remains undisclosed, fueling speculations that Jay-Z’s wife, Beyoncé, might have a surprise performance at the Grammys on Sunday (February 4).
Although unconfirmed, a reliable source close to the power couple shared that Jay-Z and Beyoncé will be attending Clive Davis’s Grammy party on Saturday (February 3) instead. Industry circles were also buzzing with rumors of a potential Roc Nation party on Friday.
The previous year’s Roc Nation Brunch was a notable event, with the power couple hosting a gathering of friends, family, colleagues, and proteges at a private residence in the hills above Los Angeles. Roc Nation had invited industry insiders to “join us for a celebration of the highest elevation of self.”
