Celebrities Janet Jackson and Naomi Campbell appear to be distancing themselves from Sean “Diddy” Combs following the explosive lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. In her legal action, Cassie accuses Diddy of various misconduct, including physical abuse, rape, and involvement in sex trafficking.
Last week, Jackson and Campbell joined Diddy in celebrating his 54th birthday and the launch of his new album at Lavo in London. Both stars shared glimpses of the celebration on Instagram, but by Friday, their posts had mysteriously disappeared.
While representatives for Jackson and Campbell have not provided official statements, the removal of their social media posts coincided with Cassie’s legal allegations. In the lawsuit, Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, claims a decade-long history of abuse, accusing Diddy of rape, psychological torment, and forcing her into sex trafficking situations with male prostitutes while he observed.
Diddy’s attorney, Ben Brafman, vehemently denies these accusations, stating that Cassie has been persistently demanding $30 million over the past six months, threatening to write a damaging book about their relationship.
Aubrey O’Day, another protege of Diddy and former member of Danity Kane, has taken to social media to express her support for Cassie. O’Day, who appeared on Diddy’s reality show “Making The Band,” has been vocal about her concerns for years.
In response to the New York Times’ publication of Cassie’s claims, she posted on Instagram stories, “Been trynna tell y’all for years. Prayers up for this queen.”
The legal drama has sparked public interest, with fans and observers closely following developments surrounding the high-profile individuals involved.
Diddy decided to settle with Cassie out of court as of Nov 17, but that doesn’t stop fans and now some of his celebrity friends too.
