Jamie Foxx, known for his notable performances in movies like “Django Unchained,” has become a hot topic of conversation as a result of assertions made on Dr. Drew’s show regarding his alleged severe health complications, including partial paralysis and blindness, subsequent to receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
Hollywood journalist A.J. Benza revealed during a segment of the “Ask Dr. Drew” program that Foxx developed a blood clot in his brain after getting vaccinated. Benza further claimed that Foxx, who initially had reservations about the shot, felt compelled to proceed due to the demands of his ongoing film project.
Reportedly, Foxx encountered these health issues while working on his latest movie, “Back in Action.” As a result, the production has opted to move forward without him, utilizing a body double in his absence.
According to Benza, “I had somebody in the room who let me know that Jamie had a blood clot in his brain after he got the shot. He did not want the shot, but with the movie he was on, he was pressured to get it,” Benza claimed. “What I found out from the man in the room was that the blood clot in the brain caused him at that point to be partially paralyzed and blind.”
Responding to the media frenzy surrounding Foxx’s health, his daughter, Corrine, issued a statement last month contradicting the gravity of her father’s condition.
Corrine clarified that Foxx had been out of the hospital for several weeks and was on the path to recovery. She even mentioned that he was engaging in pickleball, a claim dismissed by Benza as “completely false.”
Dr. Drew Pinsky, a prominent television personality and medical expert, clarified the distinction between a blood clot in the brain and a stroke. He explained that a stroke occurs when a blood clot in an artery obstructs blood flow to the brain, leading to the death of that particular brain area.
The news surrounding Foxx’s alleged health scare has reignited concerns about the safety of COVID-19 vaccines, particularly within anti-vaccine circles.
However, it is crucial to emphasize that such severe side effects are extraordinarily rare, and the advantages of vaccination in preventing severe illness and death from COVID-19 far outweigh any potential risks.
An official confirmation regarding Jamie Foxx’s actual condition and the precise cause of his health problems has yet to be released.
