In a significant development, authorities in Las Vegas have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of legendary rapper Tupac Shakur nearly three decades after his tragic death.
Jada Pinkett Smith, a close friend of 2Pac from their pre-fame days, recently shared her thoughts on these events. A Clark County, Nevada grand jury has indicted Duane “Keffe D” Davis on one count of murder with a deadly weapon, alleging his involvement in the fatal 1996 shooting of 2Pac.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Jason Johansson stated, “Duane Davis was the leader of the group responsible for this crime, orchestrating the plan that ultimately led to 2Pac’s tragic demise.”
Before his untimely passing, Tupac Shakur had a close personal relationship with actress Jada Pinkett Smith. The two celebrities shared a connection dating back to their time at the Baltimore School for the Arts, long before they achieved fame in the entertainment industry.
Reacting to the news of Keffe D’s arrest, Jada Pinkett Smith took to her Instagram Story on Friday night to express her thoughts on her late friend Tupac Shakur. In her post, the 52-year-old Daytime Emmy Award winner wrote, “Now I hope we can get some answers and have some closure. R.I.P. Pac 🕊️.” For many years, Tupac’s murder appeared to be an unsolved mystery, with no indictments in sight as decades passed.
