J. Prince has been more of an open box lately as he continues to defend his family’s name since the death of Takeoff.
Southern rap owes much of its success to J. Prince, a highly influential figure who has been instrumental in helping numerous artists over the last four decades. Despite his immense contributions to the industry, J. Prince has recently been caught up in controversy surrounding the fatal shooting of Takeoff, which has affected his standing in the community. In response to false rumors of his arrest in connection to the incident, J. Prince calmly defended himself while relaxing by the pool at his luxurious mansion.
However, J. Prince’s reputation as a notorious figure does not do justice to his remarkable achievements. Born into poverty in a tough neighborhood, he has become a hugely successful businessman, founding multimillion-dollar enterprises under his company, Rap-A-Lot Records. His sons were present during Takeoff’s shooting, which occurred during a dice game and tragically resulted in the wrong person being targeted.
Despite efforts to clear his name, J. Prince has continued to face unwarranted drama, with Wack 100 spreading rumors of his arrest. But J. Prince has taken it all in stride, even sharing a video of his “jail cell” – which was simply him relaxing by the pool in his mansion, overlooking the rest of the neighborhood.
