Ice-T, the rapper turned SVU actor, recently expressed his openness to leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the longevity of his acting career. Addressing concerns that led the Screen Actors Guild to strike over the summer, Ice-T hosted a book signing for Mark Minevich’s “Our Planet Powered by AI” on December 14, as reported by The New York Post.
During the event, Ice-T shared his perspective on AI, stating that he believes he could “act forever” with the assistance of this technology. He dismissed the idea of rejecting AI as selfish and suggested that a future AI version of himself could potentially be superior.
“I believe it’s coming, and we need to address it as it comes. There is nothing you can do,” he added, quoting famed producer Quincy Jones: “If you want to lose a fight, fight the future.”
Ice-T emphasized his proactive approach to AI, expressing his commitment to staying informed and involved as the technology develops. He acknowledged the inevitability of AI’s impact on the entertainment industry and emphasized the importance of embracing change.
