At the Grammys, Ice-T informed Jay-Z that he holds no grievances towards the latter’s rendition of his 1993 track “99 Problems.”
The West Coast icon shared that he had recently spoken to Jay-Z regarding the song’s origins, which was reimagined over a decade later by the rapper.
During an interview on Big Boy TV, the rapper and actor recounted his discussion with Jay-Z on Grammy night. Ice-T shared that Jay-Z initiated the conversation by inquiring: “You know I love you, right?” After Ice replied that he did, Hov stated, “Well, it’s on the internet that you mad.”
“Ice-T clarified to Jay-Z that he harbored no ill feelings and additionally mentioned: “They’re bringing up all kinds of interviews about it ‘99 Problems’. They asked me the story, and I told them the true story.”
Ice-T conveyed that Jay-Z expressed the sentiment of “No hard feelings.”
