Eminem has reached a major milestone by surpassing 50 billion streams on Spotify, joining Drake as the only other rapper to achieve this feat. The news, reported on Monday (August 5) by X blog HipHopAllDayy, places Eminem among an elite group of just seven artists who have crossed the 50 billion mark on the platform.
Leading this group is Drake with an impressive 101 billion all-time streams. Following him are Taylor Swift with 88 billion, Bad Bunny with 83 billion, The Weeknd with 67 billion, and both Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber with 54 billion each.
Eminem’s latest album, “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce),” significantly contributed to this achievement. The album debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 last month, boasting 281,000 equivalent album units. It also had the second-largest digital launch of the year, with 114,000 sales equivalent units.
With this milestone, Eminem continues to solidify his legacy in the music industry, inching closer to Drake’s record on Spotify.
