E-40, an esteemed figure in Bay Area Hip-Hop, boasts an extensive discography of over two dozen albums, including the 2023 release “Rule of Thumb: Rule 1.”
In this latest project, E-40 collaborated with fellow rap sensation NBA YoungBoy, showcasing the veteran’s appreciation for the emerging talent. The album features guest appearances by known artists, including YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
Describing NBA YoungBoy as an “old soul” who has experienced life’s challenges, E-40 expressed his admiration for the young artist in a recent Billboard interview. The connection between E-40 and NBA YoungBoy was further solidified by Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman, who facilitated their collaboration.
Recounting the collaboration process, E-40 shared, “Birdman reached out to me and said, ‘YoungBoy wants you on one of his songs.’ After receiving the track, we connected, and I contributed to his album.”
