The saga began during Howard’s recent appearance on Ray Daniels’ The GAUDs Show. When the topic of Shaq came up, Howard made it clear he’s never aspired to be O’Neal, despite incorporating elements of multiple NBA greats into his own game and persona.
“I’ve never disrespected him,” Howard said, addressing the friction. “But he’s always had something to say. There’s times where I’ve gotten upset and I’m like, ‘Yo, Shaq, this gotta stop, man.’”

“At this point, I’m like, do we need to throw hands? What are we doing?” he asked.

Unwilling to let it slide, Howard responded with his own sharp words. He called Shaq “insecure” and accused him of harboring jealousy for decades. “52 years old tweeting me. And still hating. … You always been jealous,” Howard said.
