A shocking incident unfolded Saturday in Inglewood, California, when a driver smashed their vehicle into a CarMax dealership, leaving eight people injured. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, two victims were critically injured, while the remaining six sustained minor injuries.
The disturbing scene was captured on video and quickly circulated on social media, showing a damaged SUV reversing into the building. The vehicle then pivoted through the lobby before crashing out the other side of the dealership.
It was later revealed that the driver, a customer who had recently had his vehicle appraised at the location, was arrested following the crash. CarMax expressed gratitude for the quick response from local authorities in handling the alarming event.
Initially, reports indicated the possibility of an active shooter situation, but authorities later confirmed that was not the case.
