In a gesture of friendship spanning over a decade, Drake graciously extended an invitation to the Kentucky men’s basketball team, allowing them to practice and unwind at his luxurious Toronto estate.
During their visit, Drake’s presence was missed as he was currently touring with 21 Savage for the It’s All A Blur Tour. Nonetheless, the Wildcats were granted access to the mansion’s impressive amenities, including a state-of-the-art full-court basketball gym.
Coach John Calipari, sporting an OVO polo, commemorated the occasion by capturing a video of the team enjoying a refreshing swim in Drake’s pool. Comparing the ambiance to a serene resort, he playfully remarked, “Alright, we’re at Drake’s relaxing,” Cal said while Drake and Migos’ “Having Our Way” boomed throughout the mansion speakers. “Really wish you were with us. What is that? Is that a hotel? Oh my gosh and here comes goofballs. You would think these are a bunch of 18-year-olds. I ain’t going in.”
This rare opportunity for the Kentucky Wildcats to practice and bond in such opulent surroundings adds another chapter to the enduring camaraderie between Drake and Coach Calipari.
