Canadian hip-hop icon, Drake, has recently revealed an extraordinary piece of jewelry with the hope of motivating Toronto’s sports teams to achieve championship glory.
Taking to his Instagram Stories on October 10th, often referred to as the “6 God,” Drake showcased a stunning, vibrant chain created by the celebrity jeweler Alex Moss.
This exquisite chain is encrusted with dazzling diamonds and features a pendant in the shape of the iconic CN Tower, a symbol of Toronto’s skyline. Additionally, the pendant includes a red raptor and a blue jay perched upon it, paying homage to the city’s basketball and baseball teams, respectively.
What sets this jewelry piece apart is the glistening clasp on its back, adorned with the emblem of the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs.
Drake, ever the wordsmith, shared his excitement for the project, expressing his connection to Toronto: “A project with my brother for ending it in the 6 and dropping on the 6th in the 6.” This reference highlights the release of his latest album, “For All the Dogs,” on October 6, and the conclusion of his “It’s All a Blur Tour,” which recently wrapped up in Toronto.
Notably, Drake has attached a promise to this exquisite chain. He has pledged to gift it to the team that brings a championship ring back to the city, stating, “We call it the crown jewel. Any team that wins a championship, we bring this straight to you for the whole offseason.”
Alex Moss, the talented jeweler behind this masterpiece, also shared a video of the chain on his Instagram page, accompanied by Drake and J. Cole’s “First Person Shooter.” In his caption, he referred to the chain as “The Crown Jewel Of Toronto @champagnepapi.” Signifying its significance to the city and its connection to Drake’s album, “For All The Dogs #AMNY.”
