Drake might want to reconsider attending concerts for leisure, even in his beloved hometown. The iconic rapper faced unexpected hostility at a Limp Bizkit concert in Toronto on Thursday night.
During the show, Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst playfully mentioned that Drake was in the audience, expecting cheers from the local crowd. Instead, the mere mention of Drizzy’s name sparked a wave of boos and jeers from the audience.
Surprised by the reaction, Durst asked, “I thought Drake was your homie? What? No? Drake’s my homie.” This only intensified the negative response, with some fans even shouting expletives.
Despite the crowd’s reaction, Durst remained unfazed. He dedicated their next song, “Take a Look Around,” to Drake, while the atmosphere remained tense.
Drake might need to stick to events where he’s on stage and getting paid, as his hometown crowd didn’t show much love this time around.
