Cesar Pina, former business associate of DJ Envy, is attempting to make ends meet by driving for Uber as he braces for an upcoming trial on wire fraud charges.
Pina, through his legal team, has petitioned the court to modify his release conditions, requesting permission to work as an Uber driver within the Tri-State area.
In his plea, Pina assured the court that he would avoid airport-related jobs, focusing solely on local rides. The judge has yet to make a decision on the matter.
Pina was arrested last October, accused of orchestrating a multi-million dollar real estate scam that allegedly defrauded numerous investors.
Prosecutors claim that Pina exploited his social media influence to lure followers into fraudulent investment opportunities, resulting in significant financial losses for several victims.
