Well, it looks like another cryptocurrency firm is taking a hit from hackers. A California cryptocurrency firm received some bad news when they learned that hackers stole $100 million in the latest big-money hack in the digital currency world.
The hacker hit a “Bridge,” a program that allows for the transfer of cryptocurrency, according to the victimized firm, Harmony.
“Harmony is working around the clock as we continue our investigation alongside the FBI and multiple cyber security firms,” said the firm, which specializes in blockchain technology that underpins cryptocurrency transactions.
This year alone, hackers have managed to steal over $1 billion from cryptocurrency bridges, according to Elliptic. Elliptic is a firm that tracks transactions on the blockchain.
According to Elliptic, cryptocurrency bridges are key targets for hackers today.
