Ciara, the accomplished vocalist, has exciting news to share. On August 8th, the 37-year-old artist unveiled that she and her husband, Russell Wilson, are expecting their third child together and her fourth child in total.
The revelation came in the form of a cleverly crafted Instagram video where Ciara stood next to an indoor pool, bathed in backlight to cast her silhouette. Only when she turned to the side did her baby bump come into view, confirming her pregnancy status.
In her post’s caption, Ciara playfully quoted lyrics from her new song “How We Roll,” a collaboration with Chris Brown, saying, ’You look at me like that again, we make another kid… You my heart I’m your rib’ 🥰😘❤️”.
The songstress is already a mother to three children. Her 9-year-old son, Future Zahir Wilburn, is from her previous relationship with ex-fiancé Future. Following her marriage to Russell Wilson in 2016, they welcomed their daughter Sienna Princess in 2017, and son Win Harrison in 2020.
This pregnancy joyfully fulfills Wilson’s wishes, as he openly expressed his desire for more children during a guest appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Last year, while Ciara was guest hosting the show, Wilson made a heartfelt request, saying, “I have a question for you. A serious question. Can we have more babies? It will be perfect. Just give me one more at least, you know what I mean?”
Interestingly, the pregnancy announcement coincides with the release of Ciara’s recent single “How We Roll,” a track that features Chris Brown. The fact that she was pregnant while shooting the music video adds a unique touch to this accomplishment. The song joins her list of 2023 releases, including “Da Girls,” “Slow” featuring Jackson Wang, and “Get Loose” featuring AGNEZ MO.
