In a recent episode of It Is What It Is, which aired on Monday (March 11), Cam’ron and Ma$e didn’t hold back in their assessment of Houston Rockets sensation Jalen Green’s involvement with model Draya Michele, who recently announced her pregnancy.
The co-hosts didn’t mince words, deeming Green’s actions as “poor shot selection,” drawing parallels to their own experiences growing up.
Cam’ron initiated the discussion by reflecting on the influence of television personalities on young athletes, likening it to boasting about romantic conquests involving celebrities like Phylicia Rashad.
“These young basketball players was kids and they watched these b**ches on TV growing up. It’s like this, Murda … It’s almost like, ‘Yo, you know I bagged Phylicia Rashad, right? You know I got Bill Cosby‘s TV wife.’ I’m talking about when we was 21 or 22.”
Cam’ron continued by emphasizing that the onus shouldn’t solely fall on Michele, raising questions about Green’s role and consent in the situation. Ma$e echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of Green’s feelings and involvement in the matter.
Further, Cam’ron suggested that it would be insightful to hear from Green’s family to gauge their perspective on the situation, speculating on their potential reaction.
Cam’ron said, “They probably like, ‘You dumb motherf**ka. What the f**k are you doing, my n***a?’”
The revelation that Michele has a child of similar age to Green prompted Ma$e to quip, “This is poor shot selection,” encapsulating their critique of the situation succinctly.
