Boosie stated that he called off the launch of his joint album with T.I. following allegations that T.I. had betrayed his deceased cousin.
In December 2022, a previously released video from T.I.’s podcast resurfaced, where he acknowledged providing authorities with details regarding a legal case. The incident involved T.I. and his cousin being caught shoplifting outside Lennox Mall in Atlanta and subsequently being arrested with a firearm in their vehicle. Both individuals were charged in relation to the occurrence.
“We caught those gun cases, Toot died,” T.I. explained. “My lawyer said, ‘Well, you know, I could make everything go away if it was Toot’s, it was Tremel’s.’ After he had passed, I had a talk with him. Toot said, ‘I’ll take all the charges you got! If you can walk away free and put it on me, goddamn right! ‘Cause I’ll be damned if they gon’ come, and m**f*** extradite me from here!’”
During a recent interview with Vlad, Boosie expressed that upon learning of the aforementioned incident, he lost respect for T.I. and subsequently terminated their proposed collaborative album. The interview clip can be viewed below.
