Boosie Badazz is once again reaching out for help in his ongoing legal battle, calling on former President Donald Trump to review his federal gun case. Despite past efforts, the Baton Rouge rapper is reigniting his campaign for justice, urging Trump to take action.
On Wednesday (January 22), Boosie took to X (formerly Twitter) with a passionate plea. “Trump, CHECK MY CASE OUT!” he wrote. “MY CASE WAS DISMISSED, BUT BIDEN’S DOJ RECHARGED ME WITH THE SAME GUN CHARGE BIDEN PARDONED HIS SON OF. I’M THE ONLY PERSON IN THE COUNTRY FACING THIS CHARGE RIGHT NOW.”
Boosie highlighted what he sees as a glaring injustice, referencing his 2009 10-year sentence in Louisiana for a third-offense marijuana possession. “I WAS NEVER EVEN OFFERED REHAB, JUST SENT STRAIGHT TO PRISON. TRUMP, I’M BOOSIE—A RAPPER AND FILMMAKER FROM BATON ROUGE. I’VE BEEN TARGETED. MY OUTSPOKEN NATURE GETS ME INTO TROUBLE, BUT I KEEP IT REAL,” he added.
The rapper also pointed out that his attorney, Meghan Blanco, has publicly discussed the unfairness of the charges, emphasizing that she could explain the intricacies of his case directly.
In addition to his written plea, Boosie turned to Instagram Live to mobilize his fans, urging them to amplify his message with the hashtag #TrumpPardonBoosie. “Y’all gotta start the campaign. Y’all gotta start it up,” he told his followers, encouraging them to make his case heard.
This isn’t the first time Boosie has turned to Trump for assistance. After Trump’s 2016 election victory, Boosie made a similar appeal but received no response. With Trump now back in the spotlight, Boosie hopes his renewed effort will lead to action.
Will Donald Trump respond this time? The rapper’s fans and supporters are watching closely, hoping his plea doesn’t go unanswered.
