Boosie Badazz is facing challenges in securing his release from custody despite the court approving his $50,000 bond. The Baton Rouge MC was arrested on firearm charges that appeared to be connected to a video he posted on Instagram Live. Initially, his requests for bond were denied, but eventually, the judge granted his release. However, the prosecution is making it difficult for Boosie to leave his cell, filing a motion to keep him behind bars until his trial.
Expressing his frustration on Twitter, Boosie criticized prosecutor Michael Wheat, labeling him as “racist” and accusing him of misconduct. According to the rapper, there was no evidence to suggest he posed a flight risk or a danger to the community.
Boosie claimed, “After the judge has granted me a bond, and I paid my full cash amount the prosecution refuse to respect the judges decision to let me go. They showed no evidence of me being a flight risk or a danger to the community. The prosecutor Mr. wheat looked at me singing Wipe Me Down, wiped his shoulders and shook his head with a look of evil in his eyes.”
Boosie’s team released a statement to XXL, asking for prayers and expressing hope for his prompt reunion with his family. The rapper also took to Twitter to apologize to his children for the situation and declared his love for them.
