Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Ben Cleveland found himself in legal trouble after being arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) last week. According to TMZ Sports, the 26-year-old NFL player was pulled over in Milledgeville, Georgia, on February 12 after authorities noticed his truck swerving dangerously on the road.
Documents obtained from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office reveal that Cleveland’s blood alcohol content (BAC) was recorded at .178—more than double Georgia’s legal limit of .08. Reports indicate that Cleveland was so impaired that he nearly drove his black Ford F-250 into a ditch before officers intervened.
Cleveland, a third-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of the University of Georgia, was taken into custody following the incident. His arrest raises concerns about player conduct and potential disciplinary action from the Baltimore Ravens and the NFL.
This developing story adds to the growing list of offseason troubles for NFL players. Will the league take action? Stay tuned for updates.
