Hip-hop heavyweight 50 Cent is officially back in the studio, but fans hoping for a full-length album might want to temper their excitement. During a recent chat with Cam’ron on his YouTube show Talk with Flee, the G-Unit icon confirmed that he’s making fresh music, but a new album isn’t part of the plan.
“I’ma make some new music,” 50 said, reigniting buzz among his loyal fanbase. However, he quickly clarified: “I’m gonna end up putting it in some of the new projects,” signaling his focus on incorporating tracks into his thriving film and TV ventures.
Although it’s been nearly a decade since his last album, Animal Ambition (2014), 50 Cent hasn’t completely stepped away from music. He’s released a string of singles tied to his hit TV series Power and BMF. Tracks like “Power Powder Respect” featuring Lil Durk and Jeremih, as well as “Wish Me Luck” with Snoop Dogg, Moneybagg Yo, and Charlie Wilson, have kept his sound alive in recent years.
While a full album isn’t in the cards, 50 Cent fans have a major collaboration to look forward to this Friday (December 13). The Queens legend is featured on “Gunz N Smoke,” a track from Snoop Dogg’s upcoming album Missionary, which is entirely produced by the legendary Dr. Dre.
The song also includes an appearance from Eminem, marking the first-ever collaboration between Snoop, Dre, 50, and Em as a four-man powerhouse. This historic lineup is already generating massive anticipation within the hip-hop community.
50’s remarks to Cam’ron may come as a twist to some fans, especially since he previously hinted at working on a new album. For now, it seems the rap mogul is focusing on blending music with his other creative ventures, leaving fans eager to see where his next chapter takes him.
