21 Savage is set to achieve a significant milestone with his latest album, ‘American Dream,’ as it is projected to claim the top spot on this week’s Billboard 200 chart, boasting an impressive 130,000 units sold.
As reported by Hits Daily Double, these projections, though still pending official confirmation set to be released on Sunday (January 14) evening, anticipate the UK native securing his fourth No. 1 album on the charts.
Upon its official release on Friday (January 12), all fifteen tracks from the album made their mark on Apple Music’s Top 20.
Diverging from the dead-eyed nihilism of ‘Savage Mode’ and the victory lap theatrics of ‘i am > i was,’ ‘American Dream’ reveals a more deeply intimate side of 21 Savage. The album eschews gimmicks, evident in his previous works like ‘Issa Album’ or ‘Savage Mode II,’ and instead, it presents 21 Savage at his most personal.
In the recording booth, he treats it as a diary, providing introspective reflections on his life and career from a 30,000-foot view.
