Young Thug recently released his highly-anticipated album, titled “Business Is Business,” which features two impressive collaborations with Drake. However, there seems to be a delay in compensating the Canadian artist for his contributions to the project.
On the album’s opening track, “Parade on Cleveland,” released on Friday (June 23), Drake kicks things off with a captivating verse and chorus. Young Thug joins in with a verse of his own, preceded by a phone call from Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
Expressing his expectations, Drake delivers lines that convey the importance of honoring business commitments: “Don’t tell me about loyalty, show me this time. Business is business. You owe me this time. Slime on your head, Nickelodeon time.”
Ahead of the album’s release, Drake shared the cover art on his Instagram page on Thursday (June 22), accompanied by a caption that read, “you owe me this time… midnight @thuggerthugger1.” In response, Young Thug, currently facing legal issues related to the YSL RICO case, reassured Drake in the comments, stating, “You will be paid.”
Furthermore, Drake’s collaboration with Young Thug extends to another track on the album titled “Oh U Went,” where Drake highlights his visionary mindset: “6 God, he a visionary. I’m the definition like the dictionary. Baby, turn around, forget the missionary. If they pull up on me with some bad intentions, you gonna read about it in obituary. I got more soldiers than the military.”
Aside from Drake, Young Thug’s new album boasts an impressive lineup of featured artists, including Future, 21 Savage, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Yak Gotti, BSlime, Lil Gotit, and Nate Ruess. Drake previously expressed his support for Young Thug in August on the track “Sticky” from his album “Honestly, Nevermind,” where he raps, “Bring them girls to the stage ’cause somebody’s getting paid. Free Big Slime out the cage.” The music video for the song displays the message “FREE YSL” as Drake delivers this line.
