Buffalo’s own Westside Gunn is set to make Halloween week unforgettable for fans, announcing that he’s dropping not one but two highly-anticipated albums next week. The Griselda rapper took to Instagram on October 24 to share the news, revealing the album covers and dates that fans have been eagerly awaiting.
In the first release, fans will experience a Griselda compilation album titled 11, arriving on October 31. This album, a tribute to Gunn’s late friend and mentor Big Dump, features heartfelt cover art showing Gunn with Big Dump.
The cover’s text, “Free Sly… for Big Dump,” makes it clear that this project is a deeply personal homage. The title hints that fans can expect a revival of Gunn’s iconic Hitler Wears Hermes series, a collection with a cult following that has solidified his place in the rap world.
The very next day, on November 1, Gunn will drop a solo project titled Still Praying. This album’s cover features a raw, candid image of professional wrestling legend Sid Vicious, who sadly passed away earlier this year, adding another layer of tribute and nostalgia to the release.
Expressing his excitement on Instagram, Gunn wrote, “YOU KNOW WHAT SEASON IT IS, IM BACK!!!!!!! 🦂🐐 IM DROPPING 2X NEXT WEEK F*CK IT 🤷🏽♂️ GRISELDA RECORDS PRESENTS …..10/31 11. 11/1 STILL PRAYING. EXECUTIVE PROD BY WESTSIDE GUNN @griseldarecords.”
For those who have been eagerly awaiting new music from Gunn, Halloween week is set to deliver with this double-dose of Griselda magic.
