In a heartbreaking turn of events, Denise Prudhomme, a 60-year-old Wells Fargo employee, was found dead in her cubicle on August 20, four days after she last clocked into work.
Prudhomme had arrived at the Wells Fargo office near Priest Drive and Washington Street in Tempe on August 16 around 7 a.m. local time, according to a statement from the Tempe Police.
Prudhomme’s body was discovered by security personnel at her desk on the third floor of the office building. The police investigation has yet to reveal any signs of foul play, and her cause of death is pending further examination by the county’s medical examiner.
“We confirm Denise was an employee here,” Tempe Police stated. “She last scanned into the building on August 16 at 7 a.m. and did not scan out.”
Authorities were alerted by reports of an individual down, and while the initial investigation shows no evidence of wrongdoing, the case remains under review.
Wells Fargo expressed deep sorrow over the incident, stating, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague.” The company has not yet commented further on the situation.
