Homeowner Sarah Bole came home from work to a pretty scary situation. She was greeted by a mountain lion that was on her patio, starring at Dash, her cute 13-year-old Shih-Poo.

Dash was having a stare-down with the mountain lion from inside the home. “He wants to eat my dog,” Boles said while recording the video of this rare encounter.

Bole told Dash to “come here,” but Dash didn’t listen and just stared back.

“This is really scary,” Bole continued. “Dash.”

Bole said the mountain lion didn’t show any aggression, “Rather it was just as curious as my dog to figure out what was on the other side of the glass.”

“Although I was a bit shaken, I don’t feel I was in any danger, and the lion was curious about its own reflection and the dog.”
