After more than 40 tornadoes tore through Kentucky two weekends ago, families scattered desperately to find their missing loved ones.
Bodycam footage shows when two babies were found alive in a bathtub by law enforcement officers and others after being swept up by the tornado in Kentucky last week.
Clara Lutz told WFIE-TV that she put her two grandchildren in the bathtub with a pillow, a blanket, and a bible. As soon as she put the children in the tub, her house started shaking, the children were gone, and the tub was already in the sky.
“Next thing I knew, the tub had lifted, and it was out of my hands. I couldn’t hold on. I just… oh my God.”
Lutz’s house was ripped from its foundation, and she was hit in the back of the head with a bathtub’s water tank. She still frantically looked for her children.
“All I could say was, ‘Lord, please bring my babies back safely. Please, I beg thee,” she told WFIE-TV.
Local police officers were able to reunite Grandma Clara with Kaden and Dallas. They were found in an upside-down tub at the end of her driveway, which was all captured on the officer’s body cameras.
