The Ultimate Fighting Championship is about to step into uncharted territory… and it’s happening at the most famous address in America.
UFC CEO Dana White has confirmed that the promotion will host its first-ever fight at the White House on July 4, 2026, in celebration of the United States’ 250th birthday. The event will mark the first time a professional mixed martial arts card has ever been staged at the presidential residence.
“It is definitely going to happen,” White said, revealing that the idea came directly from President Donald Trump, who personally called him with the proposal. White is set to meet with Trump and Ivanka Trump later this month to lock in the final details and review official renderings for the historic venue setup.
“When he called me, he said, ‘I want Ivanka in the middle of this,’” White explained. “So she and I started mapping out the possibilities, and I had all the renderings drawn up.”
The White House announcement comes as the UFC finalizes a record-breaking seven-year streaming deal with Paramount, valued at $1.1 billion annually. The deal marks a major pivot from UFC’s long-standing pay-per-view dominance, introducing select events simulcast on CBS alongside iconic sports broadcasts like The Masters, NCAA Final Four, and the Super Bowl.
White called the Paramount deal “one of the biggest milestones” in both his career and the sport’s history, noting that while streaming is the future, pay-per-view remains strong. “You still can’t beat live sports,” White said. “It’s destination viewing. Sports are gold for these streaming services.”
No fighters have been officially announced for the July 4th card, but White promised that the historic location will set the stage for a night MMA fans will never forget.
The unprecedented move could redefine where major sporting events can be held… and with the UFC’s growing mainstream reach, July 4, 2026, is shaping up to be a moment that blends patriotism, sports history, and fight night electricity in a way the world has never seen.
