Troy Ave Ridicules Casanova’s 15-Year Prison Term

Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, Troy Ave pokes fun at Casanova’s recent sentencing to a 15-year prison term. The rapper was convicted on charges related to drugs and gang activities.

In a video clip, he expresses his amusement, saying, “I can’t help but sport a smile on my face, no matter how hard I try.” He goes on to exclaim, “It feels like Christmas in June!”

In the caption accompanying the clip, Troy Ave announces a giveaway of $188, symbolizing the number of months Casanova will be serving. He challenges his followers to guess why he is in such a jubilant mood, promising the best answer a cash prize.

This isn’t the first instance where Troy Ave has celebrated someone’s imprisonment. Recently, he similarly mocked Taxstone on Instagram and organized a similar giveaway. Taxstone received a 35-year sentence for the murder of Troy Ave’s bodyguard, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter, during a 2016 T.I. concert.

Troy Ave had previously accused Casanova of being a “snitch” in an extensive Instagram post in 2021. He alleged that Casanova cooperated with the police and betrayed his “friend” Classik in a murder investigation. Troy Ave criticized those who talk tough but rely on gangs for protection rather than standing on their own. He pointed out their lack of wealth, highlighting rented apartments and cars as evidence of their financial struggles.

News of Casanova’s 188-month sentence surfaced yesterday. U.S. Attorney Damian Williams labeled him a “prominent leader of a violent street gang” and a catalyst for gang-related violence in a recent press release. Casanova’s legal team has expressed concerns for his safety while in prison. In a letter to a judge, Casanova distanced himself from the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation gang. An altercation with another inmate, reportedly related to his disassociation from the gang, occurred earlier this month.
