In a heartbreaking turn of events, Anthony ‘Big Jook’ Mims, the brother of known rapper Yo Gotti, fell victim to a targeted shooting outside Perignons Restaurant & Event Center in Memphis. Memphis police swiftly responded to reports of gunfire near Winchester Road at approximately 4:15 p.m. Two men, including Big Jook, were shot during the incident. Big Jook was quickly transported to St. Francis Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Another individual, initially taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, was subsequently airlifted to Regional One Health in Memphis and is currently in critical condition.
