In a heartbreaking turn of events, Anthony ‘Big Jook’ Mims, the brother of known rapper Yo Gotti, fell victim to a targeted shooting outside Perignons Restaurant & Event Center in Memphis. The incident, which unfolded on Saturday, January 13, has left authorities investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
Memphis police swiftly responded to reports of gunfire near Winchester Road at approximately 4:15 p.m. Two men, including Big Jook, were shot during the incident. Big Jook was quickly transported to St. Francis Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Another individual, initially taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, was subsequently airlifted to Regional One Health in Memphis and is currently in critical condition.
The unfortunate shooting took place shortly after Big Jook attended a funeral for a close friend, a poignant moment he shared on social media.
