NFL legend Tom Brady is stepping up to help his former home state of Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, which recently battered the Gulf Coast. The seven-time Super Bowl champion, who spent three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has pledged $100,000 to support relief efforts for those affected by the powerful storm.
Brady announced his generous donation on Thursday, just one day after Hurricane Milton made landfall, causing widespread devastation across Florida. His contribution will help provide essentials such as food, water, and medical supplies to families in need.
“In the wake of Hurricane Milton, I’ll be donating $100k to ensure my fellow Floridians have access to essential supplies like food, water, and first aid,” Brady shared in his heartfelt message.
The future Hall of Famer also revealed that GoPuff, a popular goods and food delivery service, will match his $100,000 donation, doubling the impact. The funds will be directed to the Volunteer Florida Foundation, a key organization in the state’s relief efforts.
Brady closed his statement by encouraging others to lend a hand during these difficult times: “Keep those impacted by these storms in your prayers, look out for your neighbors, and continue to help out any way you’re able. Stay safe, and stay strong, Florida 💪.”
