The White Peacock butterfly (Anartia Jatrophae) is a beautiful Neotropical species that is common in Central America and the Caribbean, as well as southern Texas and Florida. They can also be found in North Carolina, Missouri, Nebraska, and Kansas.
The upper side of the adult White Peacock butterfly is white and contains a round black spot with light-to-dark brown crescent-shaped trim on its forewing.
You can usually find these beautiful butterflies in warm, open, weedy areas such as fields or parks.
