Ryan Whyte Maloney, a talented singer known for his time on The Voice, has sadly passed away at 44. Authorities in Nevada confirmed his death, saying Ryan took his own life from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
Just hours before his passing, Ryan shared a video on Instagram Stories, showing himself at a bar. In the clip, he mentioned performing at a private event, saying, “Nine Fine Irishmen for a private party tonight, and we will be rocking.”
Ryan rose to fame during Season 6 of The Voice in 2014, impressing the judges with a stunning rendition of Journey’s Lights during his blind audition. He quickly secured a spot on Blake Shelton’s team and made it to the top five under the country star’s mentorship. Throughout the competition, he battled fiercely in multiple rounds and even performed during the season finale.
His passing is a heartbreaking loss to the music world, as fans and fellow artists mourn the departure of a passionate performer gone too soon.
