They usually eat during the evening, where they feed on Myrtaceae and different kinds of Gum tree leaves. The Rare Redeye Flat’s body length is between 25mm to 50mm.
These beautiful butterflies are orange-brown in color with creamy semi-transparency patches on their forewings. They also have blue-grey veins on their wings, with red color eyes.
