The Guava Skipper (Phocides Polybius) is a butterfly in the skipper family. They have distinctive red spots at the top of their wings. They have a wingspan of 1.7-2.5 inches. Guava Skipper butterflies also go by the name the “Bloody Spot” butterfly. They can be found throughout the United States, Mexico, and Central America. Guava Skipper butterflies feed on flower nectar and prefer Subtropical woods and city gardens.
