The Cabbage White Butterfly (Pieris Rapae) is known in Europe as the small white butterfly, and in North America as the cabbage white or cabbage butterfly. You can easily recognize these butterflies by their beautiful white-colored wings.
The adult cabbage white butterfly has a wingspan of 11/4 to 13/4 inches. They can usually be seen near their preferred purple, blue, and yellow flowers feeding on the nectar of the plants. What a beautiful sight to see. Nature sure has its way of brightening people’s day.
