The Attacus Atlas Moth or Atlas Moth is a giant saturniid moth located in the forests of Asia. The Atlas moth is one of the largest lepidopterans, with a wingspan measuring up to 24 cm (9.4 in).
The body is small compared to the wings. The upper side of the wings are reddish-brown, black, white, pink, and purple. Both forewings have a prominent extension at the tip, with markings that resemble a snake’s head.
Their primary habitat is dry tropical forests and shrublands.
