A Texas family was shattered when 17-year-old Benjamin Elliott fatally stabbed his twin sister Meghan as she slept on Sept. 29, 2021. Moments later, he dialed 911, telling the operator, “I just killed my sister … I thought it was a dream.”
Benjamin insists he was sleepwalking, and experts say he has a history of sleep disorders. A neurologist confirmed test results showed he entered a deep sleep stage that can trigger violent sleepwalking episodes.
But prosecutors argue inconsistencies… including two stab wounds… suggest intent. Despite the defense, Benjamin was charged with murder, leaving his parents devastated by the loss of their daughter and the fight to save their son.
