A quick-thinking Texas convenience store manager is being praised after rescuing a homeless woman who was found frozen outside his store during dangerously cold weather.
Faris Hussain says the moment became personal when he heard the woman’s name. “When I heard her name, I realized she was one of my good customers,” he said.
As temperatures dropped to 38 degrees, Hussain and another customer ran outside to help her. What they found was terrifying.
“She felt like a rock… stiff like a rock,” Hussain recalled.
The woman was barely responsive when they pulled her to safety. Police and paramedics soon arrived and rushed her to a nearby hospital. Her current condition has not been released.
The rescue is now being shared widely online as a powerful reminder of how fast cold weather can turn deadly… and how one act of compassion can save a life.
