US Vehicle Safety is investigating Tesla after two people were killed in Florida along Interstate 75. According to a local outlet, the two people who died were a 66-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man.
Tesla has been a trending topic for automobile wrecks lately. However, there has been no confirmation that this accident was Tesla’s fault. However, there will be a full investigation as to what went wrong.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol press release, the vehicle was traveling on interstate 75 when it traveled into the rest area, hitting a parked Walmart Freightliner tractor-trailer.
The passenger and driver of the Tesla were pronounced dead at the scene. Highway Patrol Lt. P.V. Riordan said they would determine if any automated features were in use at the time of the wreck.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) also has been investigating Teslas on Autopilot crashing into parked emergency vehicles.
