Terrifying footage shows narco drones dropping bombs as people flee. The video was reportedly taken from the drone after it was shot down. The drone was dropping homemade explosives that looked like little toy parachutes, and when they landed, they exploded.
This happened in the western state of Michoacan, which is a dangerous site between rival criminal groups.
According to the local media, The drone was reportedly controlled by members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG for its Spanish acronym). Over the years, the CJNG has been one of Mexico’s most powerful and dangerous criminal organizations.
The video shows slow-moving homemade bombs floating toward a gathering area, followed by people running and explosions. The local newspaper revealed that at least one person was injured and no reported deaths.
