Terence “Bud” Crawford has officially called time on one of boxing’s most dominant careers. The 38-year-old pound-for-pound king revealed his retirement on Instagram Tuesday, signaling the end of an era after conquering the sport with nothing left to prove.
“Walking away as a great,” Crawford wrote, punctuating his announcement with the hashtag #CrawfordERA.
Crawford exits the ring undefeated at 42–0, closing his career in spectacular fashion with a blockbuster win over Canelo Alvarez last September. The jump in weight only added to his legend, as Bud secured his third undisputed championship, earning a unanimous decision in a bout watched by 41 million viewers on Netflix.
Over the course of his reign, Crawford collected world titles across five weight divisions, ranging from lightweight to super middleweight, cementing his reputation as one of the most versatile fighters in boxing history.
