Legendary rapper T.I. is officially stepping away from the stage. The Atlanta icon recently revealed that his upcoming performance at the 96.1 The Beat Jingle Ball festival will be his final live show, marking the end of an era in his celebrated career.
Speaking in an interview with Atlanta’s 96.1 The Beat, T.I.—known for his role as the leader of Grand Hustle—shared that he no longer has the desire to perform. His set at the Jingle Ball on December 19 at State Farm Arena will be his farewell performance as a rapper.
“I appreciate y’all for offering me my last working gig,” T.I. said during the interview. “I don’t need the money anymore, and I will not be performing beyond this. I don’t want to do it anymore. I don’t want people paying me to hop around and sweat for their entertainment.”
T.I. and his wife, Tiny, recently won a lawsuit against doll makers OMG Girlz, resulting in a $71 million settlement, giving the couple financial freedom. The rapper made it clear that this decision to retire isn’t financially driven but is rooted in his personal choice to step away from the stage.
The Jingle Ball festival promises to be a night to remember, with other performances from stars like Sexyy Red, T-Pain, and Saweetie, making it a must-see event for fans of hip-hop and R&B. This will also be a special moment for T.I. supporters, as it will be their last chance to see him perform live.
