In a recent episode of the We In Miami podcast, iconic rapper and actor T.I. made a significant announcement about the future of his music career. After more than 25 years in the music industry, he is set to explore new horizons and release a “final” double album before venturing into other creative endeavors.
T.I. expressed his desire to evolve beyond the confines of a rapper’s career. He acknowledged the emergence of new talents pushing the boundaries of the music culture and felt it was time for him to pass the torch to the next generation.
The forthcoming album, entitled “Kill the King,” will mark the culmination of T.I.’s music journey. Interestingly, this final musical chapter will consist of a double album, with the second part titled “Kiss the King.”
Surprising his fans, T.I. revealed that one of the lead singles from the album features none other than NBA YoungBoy. He emphasized that the collaboration might not align with fans’ expectations, hinting at a unique and unexpected musical experience.
Additionally, T.I. shed light on his much-anticipated joint project with Boosie Badazz. While it generated substantial excitement among their fan base, T.I. disclosed that they had, unfortunately, missed the initial release window for the album. Despite this setback, he remains optimistic, stating, “Not saying that the window can’t present itself again.” He underlined the strength of their relationship and the possibility of revisiting the collaboration in the future.
T.I. had previously explained the significance of the album title, “Kill the King.” It serves as a metaphor for taming the ego. He reflected on how his “King of the South” moniker had both served him well and caused controversy. At this stage of his life, he has learned to suppress his ego for inner peace, making “Kill the King” a representation of this personal philosophy.
