Suni Lee, who’s only 18-years-old has achieved her dream by making it to the Olympics and winning Gold. She’s now joined the American Olympic all-around champions club, which includes Carly Patterson, Gabby Douglas, Mary Lou, Nastia Liukin, and Simone Biles.
Lee’s victory marks the 5th consecutive time an American woman has won the title of Olympic all-around champion and the sixth time in history.
But, the most amazing thing about Suni Lee’s journey is, her dad built her a balance beam in the backyard for her when she was a kid to practice on.
Lee’s father, who was paralyzed from the waist down in an automobile accident back in 2019, told Today he loved seeing his daughter achieve her dreams and that the whole community was watching cheering for her.
